Aim to build a technological and scientific innovation event with global influence

From May 31st to June 1st, the organizing committee of the 3rd Hengqin International Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (referred to as the "Hengqin Science and Technology Innovation Competition") went to Suzhou to hold a promotion event and visit local technology companies. They extended sincere invitations to Suzhou's elite creators, aiming to attract more companies with global innovation achievements to settle in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone (referred to as the "Cooperation Zone").

The organizing committee for this event was mainly composed of Zhang Weifeng, Head of the Investment Promotion Division of the Economic Development Bureau of the Cooperation Zone, Huang Zhongjian, Director of Science, Technology, and Talent Division, relevant officials from the Financial Development Bureau of the Cooperation Zone, and Deng Feng, General Manager of the Zhuhai Hengqin Development Co., Ltd.

On June 1st, the competition promotion conference was held in the Suzhou Industrial Park, with nearly 70 representatives from fields such as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, new generation information technology, and venture capital institutions attending the event.

In order to actively recruit projects for this year's competition, the organizing committee had previously carried out a series of promotional activities and conducted intensive promotions in Macau, Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai, seeking connections and outstanding projects from local companies and venture capital institutions.

This promotion event in Suzhou was targeted at high-quality enterprises in Suzhou, aiming to attract outstanding projects to participate in the competition.

According to reports, the Suzhou Industrial Park ranked fourth in the comprehensive evaluation of national high-tech zones in 2022. In particular, it has achieved numerous research results in fields such as third-generation semiconductors, nanomaterials, intelligent voice, and high-end chips. With the establishment of the National Third-Generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center (Suzhou), the regional research strength continues to improve, innovation resources keep gathering, which aligns well with the key development direction of the Cooperation Zone's technology industry.

During the promotion conference, leaders of several high-tech companies in the Suzhou Industrial Park watched the competition recruitment video and promotional videos of the Cooperation Zone to gain an in-depth understanding of the investment environment, supporting policies, and event processes of the Cooperation Zone.

During their visit, the organizing committee also visited high-tech companies such as the Suzhou Yin Yan Data Processing Co., Ltd. and the AIspeech Technology Co., Ltd. They engaged in in-depth discussions with project representatives on the future development trends of emerging industries, exploring opportunities for future industrial cooperation between the two sides.

During this promotion event, representatives from Shencong Semiconductor, a winning company from the 2nd Hengqin Science and Technology Innovation Competition, shared their participation process and experiences with the attendees. They emphasized that since settling in the Cooperation Zone after winning the award, the zone has provided the company with office space rental subsidies, as well as policy support such as tax incentives and R&D subsidies. They have also assigned dedicated personnel to follow up on project services, helping the company settle down and develop with confidence.

Huang Zhongjian stated that the Cooperation Zone's construction and reform efforts have reached an unprecedented level, with high levels of openness. With the full implementation of policies such as the "Double 15%" tax incentives for enterprises and individuals, the "Opinions on Financial Support for the Development of Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone," and the "Regulations on the Promotion of Development in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone," Hengqin has favorable policy advantages, generous talent incentives, and ample space for innovation. As a "service provider" for enterprises, the Cooperation Zone will serve the needs of creators and talents with faster speed, higher quality, and greater efforts.
